Build Bridges to Effective Substance Use Prevention

Substance Use Disorder can impact individuals, families, and entire communities. It creates challenges that can lead to isolation, stigma, and hardship. Prevention Lead Region 4 exists to build bridges—bringing together local prevention organizations across Southern and East Central Vermont to create a stronger, more connected network of support.

Together, we are working to reduce risk factors, foster resilience, and provide education that empowers individuals to make healthy choices. By promoting collaboration, sharing resources, and increasing access to evidence-based strategies, we help communities prevent substance use before it starts.

We connect people with the information, tools, and support they need to build a healthier future. Through education, advocacy, and community partnerships, we strive to create environments where prevention is possible, and well-being thrives.

About PL4

The Collaborative is working as the lead recipient of the Vermont Department of Health (VDH), Division of Substance Use Programs (DSU) grant that designates us as a Prevention Lead (PL) organization to increase state, regional, and community capacity to deliver meaningful substance misuse prevention in the four VDH Health Districts of East Central Vermont, including Bennington, Brattleboro, Springfield, and White River Junction. The Collaborative has formed an advisory structure to guide funding and approve community grants and contracts for organizations within this region.
